“As a fine artist I do not work from photographs. I do not sketch first & do not do thumbnails or studies.
I begin with paint & block out shapes & tonal values. The painting is a built composition using the tools of colour, form, perspective & style. Each creation is inspired by one or several experiences I have had. The composition of the whole work must be solid as well as each square inch & its neighbouring connecting spaces. It is also important that my depictions of different species of flora & fauna are accurate”
