The Children’s Summer Theatre School at the Gibson Centre is open for business!
Welcome to a summer of fun! The Gibson Centre is proud to present its new summer program for grades 1-8.
This program now allows you to sign up for a 4 week session or an 8 week session giving more freedom for summer fun.
The program runs Monday to Thursday 9-4, and will culminate in a performance of an original production for the public.
Students will learn the basics of theatre; character building, blocking, improvisation, movement, song, set design, play writing, and so much more. All set in a safe and fun environment, nurturing the child’s creativity and developing self esteem and personal growth. Never a dull moment, this summer is set for fun! Each day will be a combination of workshops in scene study, improvisation, music etc… and then rehearsal time for the performances.
The first session will run starting Tuesday July 2nd and ending Thursday July 25th, 2013.
Public performances will be held on Thursday July 25th at 7pm and Friday July 26th at 1pm and 7pm.
The second session will run starting Monday July 29th and ending Thursday August 22nd, 2013.
Pubilc performances will be held on Thursday August 22nd at 7pm and Friday August 23rd at 1pm and 7pm.
Registration will begin Tuesday, May 21st at 9:00 am!
8 Weeks = $850.00, 4 Weeks = $450.00
5% Discount for registration received by June 7th
Family discount of 10% for each consecutive child
Maximum students in each session is 45

Chandra Pepper-Mulder has been teaching children and adult theatre for over 20 years. She receives great joy in watching people discover their creativity and experience their own power through theatre.
An award winning actress, Chandra has been seen on stage and TV in her nearly 30 year career and is currently a director at the Theatre Orangeville Academy teaching musical theatre and the renowned T.A.R.P program (theatre program for special needs teens). Chandra’s love of improvisation has her giving workshops and performances to share her love of laughter all across southern Ontario.
